Burial Assistance
assistance given to beneficiaries to help them shoulder the cost of funeral and related expenses including cases of bringing home the bodies of their deceased loved ones, due to a disaster, calamity and/or critical events.
Criteria of Eligibility:
Must be a resident in the municipality
The applicant must be a legal spouse, child, parent, or legal guardian of the deceased
The applicant must demonstrate financial incapacity to cover funeral expenses.
The family belongs to a low-income household and cannot afford burial expenses
Qualifying Crisis Situations
Applicants may be eligible for burial assistance if the death occurred under any of the following circumstances:
a. Financial Hardship
The family belongs to a low-income household and cannot afford burial expenses.
The deceased was the primary breadwinner, leaving the family financially unstable.
The family has no access to insurance, pension, or other financial aid for funeral costs.
b. Death Due to a Disaster or Calamity
Death caused by a natural disaster (e.g., typhoon, earthquake, flood, landslide, fire).
Death caused by a man-made disaster (e.g., armed conflict, vehicular accident, structural collapse).
Multiple casualties in the same family due to the disaster.
c. Death Due to a Critical Event or Emergency
Death caused by accidents, sudden medical emergencies, or violence (e.g., homicide, fire, drowning, electrocution).
Cases where the body needs repatriation from another city, province, or country.

- Updated Original Certificate of Indigency from Barangay proving financial incapacity
- Death Certificate
- Funeral Contract
- Original or certified true copy of Official Receipt
- ID of Authorized Representative
- ID of expired person
- Proof of Relationship (Birth Certificate) Photocopy
- Marriage Contract and Authorization Letter
- Certification of Outstanding Debts or Payable Obligations (Original or Certified True Copy)
