Psychosocial Supports
It is a set of intervention that intends to positively improve person’s behaviour to reduce the impact of stress brought about by a crisis through behavioural modification interventions. Social Work Counselling-to help the clients gain insights into their feelings and which affects their behaviours, and/or enable them to process their thoughts and feelings. This also identifies potential solutions to the issues at hand for crisis situations.
Criteria of Eligibility:
Must be a resident in the municipality
Must be experiencing emotional, psychological, or social distress due
to a crisis situation.
Must be willing to undergo psychosocial interventions, including
counseling, therapy, or support programs.
Qualifying Crisis Situations
Applicants may be eligible for psychosocial support if they are affected
by any of the following:
a. Trauma and Emotional Distress
Individuals experiencing grief, loss, or emotional breakdown due to
the death of a loved one, separation, or abandonment.
Survivors of violent crimes, accidents, or sudden traumatic incidents.
Individuals struggling with extreme anxiety, depression, or
post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following a crisis.
b. Disaster and Emergency Situations
Individuals and families affected by natural disasters (e.g.,
typhoons, earthquakes, fires, floods) leading to psychological
distress.
Survivors of man-made disasters (e.g., armed conflict, forced
eviction, community violence).
People who have been displaced or relocated due to calamities,
conflicts, or demolition.
c. Abuse and Violence-Related Cases
Survivors of domestic violence, physical or emotional abuse, sexual
abuse, or neglect.
Victims of human trafficking, forced labor, or exploitation.
Individuals suffering from bullying or discrimination, including those
from marginalized groups.
d. Mental Health and Social Functioning Concerns
Individuals facing severe stress, anxiety, depression, or other mental
health concerns affecting their daily life.
Persons who engage in self-harm, substance abuse, or suicidal ideation
due to crisis situations.
Families with children, elderly members, or persons with disabilities
(PWDs) experiencing emotional or social distress.
Requirements

Updated Original Certificate of Indigency from Barangay with proof
of low income
- Valid ID (Photocopy)
- Marriage Certificate or Birth Certificate

Referral Letter from Social Worker, Barangay Officer, or Mental
Health Professional

Medical or Psychological Report (if applicable, for cases related to
diagnosed mental health conditions)

Police or Legal Report (if applicable, for cases involving abuse,
violence, or exploitation)

Disaster or Emergency Certification (if applicable, for crisis
situations like natural calamities)
